Horrified Prop 8 passed

As a Lutheran, I have a particularly Lutheran perspective on the world which I share with the other 25 or so Lutherans I've met in life. The Lutheran approach is to really emphasize the moral teachings of Christ as life lessons and examples of how to be.
The "Love Thy Neighbor" teaching is one of the most important. I'm amazed at how the LDS can use Christianity and Joseph Smith to justify going against one of Christ's most important teachings. Prop 8 is far from Christian. From what I can see it is completely alien.
I have an LDS boyfriend and at one time was considering converting because it seemed important to him...but seeing now just how much LDS look down on non-Mormons, and how much they emphasize that they are the only valid religion...these are foreign concepts to me. As a self-respecting (albeit not practicing) Lutheran and human being I can not be a part of this. And so it will likely be the end of our relationship as well.
Prop 8 is hurting everyone.

Also, for such a "holy" man, the founder of LDS was locked up in arkansas, and shot at least one prison guard in his escape.
